News & Announcements
New! Scott's Solutions Starts November 1
Library assistant Scott Bergenfeld can show you the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other tech resources Wednesdays 9 am-noon. Safely navigate social media; create resume templates, letters, and spreadsheets; utilize cell phone, iPad, and Kindle features, such as calendars and more. No RSVP needed. This is drop-in instruction, not a formal class.
YA Monday Movie Madness
Middle and high school students, take a Monday after-school break with our screening of Edward Scissorhands on October 23 from 4-6 pm. This 1990 movie is rated PG-13, and runs for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Call to RSVP. Popcorn will be served.
Adult Yoga Every Wednesday
Our weekly Adult Yoga class is every Wednesday at 10:30 am in the Community Room. RSVP is appreciated, but not required.
Lego Mindstorms for Young Adults
Our October session of Lego Mindstorms building challenge for young adults in middle and high school will conclude on Wednesday, October 25, from 4 to 5 pm. RSVP required. Please stay tuned for news about future building challenges!
Roseland Library Book Club
Our Book Club will meet on Wednesday, October 25, at 7:15 pm to discuss The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck. Three widows and the children of Nazi resistance fighters create their own makeshift family in a crumbling, once glorious Bavarian Castle. Unsettling secrets are revealed, creating a complex web of challenges. New members always welcome.
Adult Meditation Classes
Join us for these Thursdays of Mindfulness: October 26 at 7 pm, November 2 at 10 am, and November 16 at 7 pm. Call to RSVP.
Splatoon 2 Tournament
Join us for a fast-paced Splatoon 2 Tournament on Friday, October 27, at 4 pm. Great way to wrap up a busy week at school! Bring your friends! Call to RSVP.
Matinee Mondays
Monday Matinee resumes on October 30, at 1 pm, with Patriots Day, an action-packed drama about the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the race to find and prosecute those responsible for it. Rated R, runs 2 hours and 13 minutes. Popcorn will be served and no RSVP is needed.
Halloween Ball Story Times
Kids, come dressed in your Halloween finest to our special Halloween edition of Story Time on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 9:30 or 11:30 am. Enjoy music, stories, a spooky craft, and trick or treating at the library!
Jedi Training Coming Soon!
Prepare for our Star Wars Day on Dec. 2 by working on your Jedi skills on the following Thursdays in November at 4 pm: Nov. 2 - Lego building; Nov. 9 - Erupt Death Stars; Nov. 16 - Make glow-in-the-dark Jaba the Hutt slime; Nov. 30 - DIY light sabers. Call to RSVP.
La Bella Musica Italiana
Treat yourself to an afternoon of Italian Music with the Bella Musica Italiana ensemble on Sunday, November 5, at 2 pm. Call to RSVP.
Hypnotherapy & Past-Life Regression Presentation
Spiritual Hypnotherapy & Past Life Regression presentation by Jacqueline Balloutine, who is certified in clinical hypnotherapy and past life regression therapy, on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2-4 pm. The group will also discuss the book Many Lives, Many Masters by Brian Weiss - reading the book prior to the event is recommended but not required. Call to RSVP.
Knitting & Crochet Club
Enjoy an evening of knitting and crocheting at the library on Monday, November 20, starting at 7 pm. New members welcome.

Patrons can borrow passes for themselves and/or their families for The Newark Museum, Montclair Museum, Morris Museum, The NY Transit Museum, and (coming soon) Imagine That!
